Last week I was in Palma de Mallorca.
I visited both Port Adriano, STP and Astilleros de Mallorca. Although STP & Astilleros are both refit yards, it was interesting to get a tour of the Astilleros de Mallorca facilities.
Thank you to Lucia Mignot for the tour, it was great how open you were. Kudos!
I was struck with how clean the facility was. Additionally the signage relating to waste management at the yard was exceptional. Language is both in Spanish and English.
Attached are some images of this clear signage. Lucia mentioned that that the contracts to pick up the goods are a mix of municipal collections (Local Government) and yard contracted.
I understand that refit yards are not Marinas, however it was great to see a company in the Superyacht market, dealing with waste management in a clear, well managed and documented fashion.
